Construction
Many projects require a multitude of different skills and experienced crafstmen to bring the client's brief to life and we have a fantastic network of regular subcontractors and specialist trades on hand for whatever the project requires. From the footings through to ornamental plasterwork, steel fabricators to decorators we have a trusted team of people used to working together as a team to deliver your project.
Metalwork
We are passionate about bespoke metalwork, a beautiful counterpoint to the dressed stone in so many period buildings. From the traditional wrought iron gates and railings to sleek stainless steel fixtures we can arrange the fabrication and install into the stonework safely and sympathetically to both materials. Whether you want to add a touch of class with bronze or the industrial chic of corten steel we can realise your vision for you.
Carpentry
Carpentry is more than just a trade - it's a timeless art form. With a legacy built on precision and craftsmanship, we specialise in creating bespoke wooden creations that define spaces and inspire wonder. From custom furniture pieces to intricate architectural details, our skilled carpenters blend traditional techniques with modern design to bring visions to life.
Restoration
Without routine maintenance, even the most solidly built structures will fall into disrepair. In the right hands, the restoration of a building can bring something derelict back to life, encompassing new materials and techniques where appropriate and uniting the best aspects of traditional architecture and modern comforts all under one roof.
With a team whose experience in restoration includes the award winning Tyntesfield orangery through to many a domestic Victorian and Georgian property locally your project will be in safe hands from start to finish.
Letter Cutting
Clear and precise, durable and beautiful it lends tone to any message it carries. Whether for a commemorative plaque, headstone or a sign for your business or home, we can produce a unique and hand carved piece that is both elegant and functional with a wide range of stones and finishes to suit almost any given situation and project.
Lime Works
Whether it is the repointing of a rubble wall, the lime rendering of a building or the building of townhouses in dressed stone we can advise and carry out these works using whichever lime product is suitable for the job. Lime putty, hot lime mixes, Natural Hydraulic Lime ( generally seen as NHL 2 or NHL 3.5)
Commissions
Talented carvers within our team are available to create sculptures, supply ornamental masonry and carry out statuary repair. We have carried out works on public monuments, private estates, places of business and private homes.

Our Expertise
Surveying and Consultation
From the initial surveying of a building we can help you identify the root causes of current and future issues likely to arise. We will formulate a schedule of works to prioritise areas in need of immediate attention and a strategy to stay on top of the maintenance of historic buildings.
Supply and Installation of new stone
From our banker shop in the hills just outside Bath we source and shape all the stone required for the conservation, maintenance and restoration on our projects. We also supply worked stone to the construction industry and can take the templets from the building, work the stone and deliver to site for your own fixing team.
